When do we use your data?
For purchasing a ticket
When you buy a ticket, we enter into an agreement. To fulfill this, we need your contact and payment details. We retain this data for up to 7 years after the end of the year in which you purchased the ticket. This retention period is required by our tax obligations.
Visiting the museum
At the entrance, we ask you to show your ticket. If you use a Museum Card or VriendenLoterij VIP Card, the card issuer records the date and time of your visit. We do not receive this data; we can only access anonymous statistics. During your visit, we use camera footage for the safety of our visitors and the protection of property. Footage is retained for a maximum of 4 weeks. This is based on our legitimate interest.
When you contact us
If you contact us, we need your name, phone number, and/or email address. We retain this data until the inquiry is resolved, and for up to 2 months thereafter.
Signing up for the newsletter
For sending our newsletter, we ask for your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the link in each newsletter.
Cookies
Through our website, we collect data about your visit. We collect statistical information as it benefits both us and our visitors.
